UNAPPROVED RECORD OF THE MARCH 19, 2019 PROCEEDINGS OF THE PLATTE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, WHEATLAND, WY – The regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners was called to order at 9:00 a.m. with the following present: Sandy Kontour, Chairman; Steve Shockley, Commissioner; Ian Jolovich, Commissioner; and Malcolm Ervin, County Clerk. Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to approve the agenda. The motion carried.  The minutes from the last regular meeting, as well as a special meeting on March 6th, 2019, were approved as presented. Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to approve the vouchers as presented. The motion carried. Business Before the Board: Collections – Approved: Clyde Harris, Sheriff, February Collections - $1,227.57. Financial Report: Kristi Rietz, County Treasurer, presented the financial report for the month ending February 28, 2019. Depository – Public Funds: Banner Capital Bank was designated by the board as a depository for County funds up to ninety percent of the security furnished by said bank. Aplications for Deposit of Public Funds are filed in the office of the County Clerk as required by law. IT Update: Tom Overstreet updated the Commissioners on current IT projects for the county. Wyoming Child & Family: Becky Condie and Mark Knickerbocker requested the commissioners consider $5,000 in assistance and a property tax waiver for their program in the next fiscal year. Courthouse & 4-H Building Construction: Greg Orr (Reliance Construction Consulting), and members of the Fair Board, were in attendance to speak about the selection of design and engineering firms for the Courthouse and 4-H Building construction projects. Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to accept the recommendation of the Fair Board and Reliance Construction Consulting and hire Arete as the engineering and design firm for the 4-H Building construction project. The motion carried. Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to accept the recommendation of Reliance Construction Consulting and hire Malone Belton Able as the engineering and design firm for the Courthouse construction project.
