“The Extraordinary Changes to Saddlemaking” will be the topic of discussion at the Feb. 27 meeting of the Platte County Historical Society, a news release from the society reports.  The program will be held at the Platte County Library beginning at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Historian Kathy Ogle will share her research about master saddlemaker Rudy Mudra, and how his influence on leather carving and saddlemaking continues today.

“Rudy was a well-known saddlemaker, but he was always a bit of a mystery,” Ogle said, “and many details of his life have been lost to time.”
