WHEATLAND – The first baby born in the New Year at Platte County Memorial Hospital came into the world on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018. Slayder Jack Johnson weighed in at 7.47 pounds, and was measured at 19.48 inches in length. He was born to Ashley Rhyne and Thane Johnson, both of Wheatland. He joins an older brother, Wyatt, 5.
