Peace brings rest

Posted

When we call ourselves a Christian or follower of Christ, we are called to have courage, not fear or defeat. When we are saved, the Lord gives us a gift of peace which makes us stand strong, unchanging in our trust and belief, and this peace is courageous peace. We are living in times as I have never seen before. People don’t seem to know right from wrong, good from bad. All is mixed up, but then the Bible tells us this is how it is to play out.

When things come at us and we do not know what to do, let’s fix our eyes on Jesus and Jesus only because He does know what to do. We want to live our life focused on the Lord and His promises in the Bible.

Peace is knowing our Lord will work it all out, whether or not we can feel it or see it. That is called Faith! This peace enables us to act confidently with courage and not defeat! So let us get our eyes off earthly things and get them on Heavenly things. I find it sad when an unbeliever has nothing but worldly peace which really is no peace at all.

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27)
