WHEATLAND- On Monday, Aug. 12 from 4 - 7p.m. the Platte County School District No.1 Transportation Department held their first, “Bus Garage Open House.” This event provided students and families with school bus information regarding bus registration, schedules, routes, an oportunity to meet your bus driver, and receive bus passes. The event had door prizes, food and games for all ages.
“Our main goal is having our students and families familiar and comfortable with our bus service. We have six brand new buses, and six buses available for traveling for sports and field trips. Our six new buses are equipped with seat belts, all of our buses are equipped with camera’s (for safety and security) and heating for the chilly Wyoming winters,” said Jerry Bowman, Transportation Director.
“The Transportation Department would like the community to know that PCSD#1 buses are safe, friendly to travel on and we would like everyone to utilize our service for busing your student’s to and from school,” said Bowman.
If you have any questions regarding school transportation, please contact Jackie or Jerry at (307) 322-3646.
