The annual Parade of Lights was held in Wheatland last Saturday during a cold, clear, but not too windy evening. First prize wen to Alexander Construction and Platte County Redi Mix with their gift filled loader. They won the traveling trophy to display in their business all year. Second place was Colt Bruegman Trailer Sales with their festivally trimmed tree on a flatbed truck. Mudsprings Vision Clinic took third place with their Grinch inspired sleigh. This year had 16 entries in the line-up. After the parade, the lighting display for downtown was lit up in all its glory. Santa was present to hand out treats on the Courthouse steps. For a delightful Christmas lights display, go east on Oak Street and turn north on Front Road towards Fairview Road.
