Miniature Wheatlanders enjoy successful hunt

WHEATLAND — Wheatland’s annual Easter egg hunt, sponsored by the town of Wheatland, Platte Valley Bank and First State Bank, was held in chilly weather at noon Saturday at Lewis Park.
The event also featured an opportunity to have pictures taken with the Easter Bunny at the band shell.
There were age specific designated areas sectioned off, and each age group had its own section so the smallest hunters didn’t get trampled. A total of 5,000 eggs were tossed out.
Justin Herdt was also there with his DJ service to play child-friendly music.
