Maretta Ilene Babb went to be with our lord on Oct. 7 at Rapid City S.D., surrounded by her loved ones.
Maretta was born on Jan. 22,1943 at Stuart Neb. She grew up in the Wheatland area. She loved the outdoors and the beauty of nature. She was an accomplished horsewoman, running as a contestant for Miss Platte County, when in her teens.
Maretta always loved the beauty of the Black Hills and spent her last year live in Spearfish S.D.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Len and Bessie Babb; a sister Irene Babb; sister Mickey Borelli; brother Lewie Brandenburg; and a grandson Shell Richardson.
She is survived by her sons, Brant Richardson (Barb), Paisley, Ore.; Lance Richardson (Becky), Terrebonne, Ore.; Troy Richardson Saratoga; Eric Richardson, Casper; and a daughter Tara Little, Rapid City, S.D.; fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; a sister Frances Heller of Wheatland; and a brother, Len Babb (Gloria) Paisley, Ore.
The Black Hills of S.D. will be her final resting place.
