Luna Walthall, 97, died, Saturday, June 27. Born in 1922, Luna, daughter of Henry and Jennetie Nichols, was raised on a farm in Ava Mo.
“Lou” met her husband Cecil Walthall, then a WWII Army Air Force Pilot and were married for 72 years (1945-2017). Together they had two children: Steve (1951-2006) and Lynette (1954-present), five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. From 1956-1975 they owned Walthall Chevrolet in Wheatland .
Lou was actively involved with her children and community. She enjoyed socializing and extending hospitality, was popular with her neighbors. From Wheatland they moved and lived for several years in Northern Colorado, Arizona and lastly in Windsor, Colo. Family and friends will remember Lou’s kindness, wit, humor, elegant appearance and manner--passed on to her daughter Lynette.
