WHEATLAND — Wheatland Lobos varsity hosted Cheyenne Hawks Saturday, posting a 1-1 record.
With Joel Anderson on the mound allowing only three runs in over six innings, the Lobos won 6-5 in the first game. Mytch Pollock, in the first inning, got runs started with a triple to center field, which Ned Hageman immediately followed with a double. Joel Anderson also contributed a double in the second inning.
In the second game, though the Lobos took a 5-11 loss, Hageman began a four-run rally in the fourth inning with a double. Of the team’s six hits, Anderson contributed a double with John Sarad adding two hits along with two RBIs.
Lobo varsity will host the Cheyenne Hawks again this Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
The Lobo prep team will wrap up their season this week as they travel to Casper for the 15U State Tournament.
