TORRINGTON — The Lobos took a couple tough losses at the Legion District A State Tournament in Torrington last week.
The Lobos lost 6-11 against Green River on Wednesday and 10-11 against the Douglas Cats on Thursday.
Wyoming American Legion A-League baseball coaches voted on which players they believe are the best in the state for 2018, according to Wyopreps.com. Wheatland Lobos Joel Anderson and Mytch Pollock were selected for the second all-state team.
Pollock and Anderson were also selected for the first team of the best players in the east side of Wyoming. Cross Hernandez was selected for the second team of the best on the east side of the state.
Legion A State Baseball champions were the Cody Cubs, and AA State champions were Cheyenne Post 6. The Cubs and Cheyenne Post 6 will compete in their respective Northwest Regional Tournaments: AA in Missoula, Montana, Aug. 8-12, and A at Lewiston, Idaho, Aug. 10-14.
