Lady Lobos double at state

CASPER – The Wheatland Lady Lobos attended the State Softball Tournament this past week in Casper with 8u, 10u, 12u and 14u teams. Pool play was Friday with bracket play as double-elimination Saturday and Sunday.
The newest member to Lady Lobos, the 14u, were coached by Alma Rivero, Ashley Evans and Eric Jones. The first year 14u squad won both pool play games and finished the state tournament in fifth place.
The 8U Lady Lobos, coached by Eric Bohlander, Kayla Bohlander, Brian Connell and Brandon Pindell were state runners-up for 8U machine pitch for second year in a row.
The 10U Lady Lobos, coached by Derrick Sisson, Courtney Sisson and Hayley Robertson went undefeated through the state tournament.The team faced the 10u Lander Legends in the championship game, claiming the 14-4 win, and state championship.
The 12U Lady Lobos coached by Travis Lockman, Scott Aurich, Jeff Struble, and Eric Collar also went undefeated through the state tournament. The team faced the 12u Lander Legends, winning 24-3 to capture the 12u state championship.
