Lady Dawgs win first game on home court

WHEATLAND – At their first home game for the season, the Lady Bulldogs had a distinctive win over Buffalo, 56-29.

Wheatland started strong with senior Destiny Cook getting the first basket of the game early in the quarter. They kept their lead with the Bisons only able to get three points compared to Bulldogs 13, by the end of the first quarter.
Second quarter was dominated by the Bulldogs as well with Danielle Brow leading as the top scorer for the team. At halftime, Wheatland still held a definitive lead, 35-10.
The third quarter slowed down a bit with both teams just a few points to the scoreboard. However, the last quarter grew in intensity as the Bisons rallied to close the distance. The Bulldogs rose to the challenge and matched them hoop for hoop with Wheatland taking the game, 56-29. Kaesha                  Davis topped off the game with the last two baskets.
The team travelled to Glenrock on Saturday and garnered another win, 57-29. They travel to Torrington on Friday and play at 5:30 p.m. Torrington will be their first quadrant game. On Saturday, they face Rawlins on home court at 3 p.m.
