“When someone you love becomes a memory,
 the memory becomes a treasure”
Our “Sweetheart and Dad” passed away on April 3. He resided in Sun City, Ariz.
Jim was born to Lawrence and Florence Stebar on July 21, 1939 in Joliet, Ill. He lived in Wheatland until he joined the U.S. Navy. Jim was a loving husband to Sue Martin of Torrington. Together they had a fun and interesting life. They lived in eight states and overseas in Egypt, but his heart always belonged to Wyoming.
Jim retired from AMOCO Pipeline as Work Management Systems Manager, after working as a Supervisor of Operations and Chemical Measurements. Jim also worked for AMOCO Productions for approximately eight years.
He had his commercial, private, and instructor pilot’s license. Jim enjoyed golf, fishing, and was “adamant” to win at playing cards. He had a great sense of humor and a laugh that was unforgettable.
Jim was a kind, loving, and caring father to Cindy, Teresa, and James (Stoney); grandfather to Zachary, Megan, and Nicolas; and a father-in-law to Tom and Diane. He enjoyed “fun times” with his brother, George and sister-in-law Deborah, who reside in Evanston WY; and was preceded in death by his sister Carol.
To our family and friends: whenever you eat a ‘hamburger’, ‘mac & cheese’, or ‘butter-pecan ice cream’, remember Jim.
At his request, no services will be scheduled.  If you wish to send condolences, mail to: Sue Stebar, 17815 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85373
