TORRINGTON – Terrance William Rutland, a Wyoming inmate, died from a lengthy illness on Thursday at the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution in Torrington, according to a news release issued by the Wyoming Department of Corrections.
Rutland was sentenced on Jan. 10 by Sweetwater County District Court Judge Richard L. Lavery. Rutland was serving the first of two consecutive sentences (7-12 years each) for sexual exploitation of children.
Rutland was born Nov. 4, 1954, in Paso Robles, California.
As per departmental policy an autopsy has been ordered.
