The hunter safety class offered last week at Eastern Wyoming College Wheatland Outreach campus filled up immediately.
Kathy Garton, Wheatland Outreach coordinator, said registration for the class opened on a Friday, and by the next morning the class was full.
She said Martin Hicks, the instructor of the Wheatland class, may offer another hunter safety course in August.
Garton recommended that anyone interested in taking the course should start checking the Wyoming Game & Fish Department website in late June. She said the course will probably be held in early August and will likely fill up quickly.
The hunter safety, or hunter education, courses are sponsored by the Wyoming Game & Fish Department. The course schedule can be viewed on the department’s website: wgfd.wyo.gov/education.
