WHEATLAND - The Wheatland Bulldogs are set to start basketball and wrestling this weekend, with the boys’ basketball team heading to Wright for the Coal Miner Tourney, and the wrestling team heading to Cheyenne for the Charlie Lake Tournament.
Last year, the Bulldogs finished the season 2-4 in Conference and 9-14 overall, falling third in the 3A East quadrant.
This year, their first game will be at 11 a.m. on Friday as they face off the 2A Wright team.
The first home game of the season will be on Jan. 6, with the boys’ and girls’ team hosting the Douglas Bearcats at the Dawg House.
The wrestling team heads to Cheyenne this weekend, and then up to the Battle of the Bighorns on Dec. 15 and 16. Their first home match is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 4 as they host the Douglas Bearcats.
