WHEATLAND – Helen Faye (Bryant) Anderson, 96, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, at the Platte County Nursing Home in Wheatland.
Helen Anderson was born on Thursday, Sept. 16, 1929, in Tinsman, Arkansas, the daughter of Roy and Marie (Porter) Bryant. Helen was one of nine children, five brothers, James, William, Roy Austin “RA”, Charlie and Johnny; and three sisters, Midy Jane, Era and Carolyn. Jimmy Lewis was a nephew but was always considered “one of the brothers.”
Helen married Richard Anderson on Oct. 19, 1945, in Arkansas. They met in Little Rock, Arkansas, while he was in the service. When Richard was discharged from the Army, they moved to his home in northern Wisconsin, upon marriage, where they had three children, Pat, Don and Terry. From Wisconsin, they traveled back and forth to Wyoming where Richard worked in the timber industry in Elk Mountain, Foxpark and Granby, Colorado. Helen and Richard permanently moved to Foxpark in 1963. It was at this time that they had their fourth child, their daughter, Pam. They made the Laramie and Wheatland areas their permanent home.
Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Pam and husband, Richard.
