Harvey Paul Miller, 88, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland, Wyoming with his wife by his side.
Harvey Miller was born March 10, 1929 in Hastings, Nebraska the son of Fredrich J. and Marie (Kniss) Miller.
Harvey’s family moved to Wheatland when he was just six months old.  He was educated in Wheatland. He went into the United States Navy Reserves and was honorably discharged on July 7, 1952.  He met Lavonne Goddard and they were married June 22, 1963 in Wheatland where they made their home.  Harvey worked many places around Wheatland including, Guernsey – Sunrise Mine, Wilson Reddy Mix, owned a gas station with Lavonne, was a mechanic at the Chevy garage, drove school bus for Platte County School District #1 and was the transportation supervisor, farmer, and his last job was driving the bus for the seniors.  He loved to be busy and work.  When he retired he liked to be outside and working in his garden.  
He is survived by his wife Lavonne Miller of Wheatland; children, Kimberly (Doug) Welch of Wheatland and Steven Miller of Pennsylvania; sister, Rosalie Cazier of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Keith Jenkins, Micheal Jenkins, Roni Jenkins, Rebekka Miller, Shaya Miller, and Jared Miller; great grandchildren, Kaden Jenkins and Katelynn Jenkins; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edwin Miller and Wally Miller; and sister, Ruby Delitus.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland are in charge of the arrangements.
