HARTVILLE – The Town Hall in Hartville was bright with holiday cheer at the annual Christmas Feast last Sunday. The building was jam-packed with tables, people, food and a Christmas Tree.
The well-attended event happens every year and is hosted by the town council. The members of the council cook ham and turkeys and the attendees bring side dishes and desserts. Darrell and Marion Offe decorate to make the space feel more like a festive, Christmas party and less like a government building.
“We have a really good turn out every year, around 100 in a town of 62,” said Mayor Mark Flohr with a smile. “A lot of residents from out of town come in for this.”
Mr. and Mrs. Claus stopped in for a visit with the kids and handed out goodie bags. This year there was a performance by the Dance Wyoming’s Intro to Ballet class.
Scott and Christine Harmon, owners of Hartville’s famous Miners and Stockmen’s restaurant, donated a dinner for two for a raffle prize. The proceeds go to the Hartville Museum Board to help preserve and run the museum located in the old schoolhouse.
