FORT LARAMIE – Goshen County native Harriet M. Hageman will wrap up a nine-city tour of the state this week as she announces her plans for a bid for the governor’s office of Wyoming.
Hageman will be at the Fort Laramie Pioneer Community Center at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19. Her visit to her home town will mark the conclusion of a tour, which began Tuesday, to throw her hat in the ring for the state’s top office.
Hageman, a Cheyenne-based attorney specializing in water and property rights and natural resources, is originally from Fort Laramie. She was a 2011 inductee into the Wyoming Agriculture Hall of Fame.
“I am running because I believe that government exists to serve us, and not the other way around,” Hageman was quoted Monday in a press release. “I am running because I believe in serving my State and my nation, as a problem solver, as an advocate for our citizens, our industries, our communities, our schools, our students and our families.”
