In a statement issued by the Wyoming State Health Department and labeled Statewide Public Health Order #3, there has been a temporary closure of nail salons, hair salons, barber shops, massage parlors, tattoo, body art and piercing shops, cosmetology, electrology and esthetic services.
Janice Faris, owner of Jan’s Cut-N-Yak was in her shop doing some rescheduling this morning. She is not, however allowed to do any haircuts, colors or have any contact with the public. The order came through the cosmetology websites and via a Facebook message by Gov. Mark Gordon March 24 at approximately 4 p.m.
“They have told us to remain closed until April 3,” Farris said. “I’m going to forward my calls to my cellphone and my home and just get everyone rescheduled, and then self-quarantine, I guess. That’s about all the options we have and I just hope that everyone unites together, and… just be strong because it’s going to take unity to get through this even at a distance.”
