The Glendo High School girls’ basketball team saw its season come to a close on Tuesday, Feb. 25 in the 1A East Regional Tournament play-in game in a 44-7 loss against the Guernsey-Sunrise Lady Vikings.

GUERSNEY – The Glendo High School girls’ basketball team saw its season come to a close on Tuesday, Feb. 25 in the 1A East Regional Tournament play-in game in a 44-7 loss against the Guernsey-Sunrise Lady Vikings.
Guernsey jumped out to a 21-1 lead midway through the second quarter en route to a 44-7 win over Glendo.

The Lady Eagles didn’t score their first field goal of the game until midway through the second quarter when freshman Anne Buller and sophomore Jaiden Meredith dropped in four points in the span of a minute midway through the frame.
Glendo only scored two more points for the remainder of the game.
Meredith scored the final two points of Glendo’s season with 5:36 remaining in the game.
Meredith led the Lady Eagles with five points.
Guernsey was led by junior Macoyia Stoneking with 14 points, while Mickayla VanNatter added 10. Freshman Bella Milton and senior Macy Mote had six each.
Glendo’s season comes to a close with an 0-14 record.
