WHEATLAND - A little bundle of pink joy made her debut Jan. 1 at the Platte County Memorial Hospital winning the title of First Baby of Platte County.
Elise Marie Hutchings was born at 7:35 p.m. to parents Kandace Meier and Maurice Hutchings. She weighed 6 pounds and 10 ounzes and measured 19 inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Jay and Melidna Meier. Paternal grandparents are Ron and Deborah Hilton.
Kandace is originally from Nephi, Utah and moved to Glendo with her parents when she was 11-years-old. Maurice is from San Diego, Calif. They have lived in Wheatland for “two or three years.”
When asked how it feels to have the first baby of the year, they said, “Pretty exciting.”
