Extremes in seasons . . . and in life

Posted

I love to watch the seasons change, but growing up in California I never saw severe changes in the seasons that my husband Vic saw growing up in Wheatland, Wyoming! Have you noticed, though, that all over our nation, the weather patterns are changing drastically? So many people are suffering from extreme weather! But then we are seeing extreme in every phase of life now. We see such harsh violent crimes here and all over the world.
For the Christian, we have a living hope (Jesus) who stands with us and shows us His refuge and His relief. In our ONLY manual for success (the Bible), we have many examples of people who cried out to their Living Hope (God) when in distress. David was a man with a heart after God in the midst of all his troubles. 2 Samuel 22:3 records David as saying, The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence.

Who do you run to when trouble hits your life, both personally and in the world? It’s very important that we read our Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to show us the answers we need and what to do!
Christians live in the Kingdom of God with Jesus our King. We are heaven-bound and in the midst of it all, we are to be watching and doing until the return of our King. Sad to say, I lived most of my life in the kingdom of the devil who rules the world systems! The king of this kingdom is a thief out to harm us. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly (John 10:10). We must choose who we want to believe!
This is our season to rise to the call placed on all Christians and live our lives showing others we have a living hope (Jesus). He is with us, no matter what comes our way, and He will do the same for them if they will trust in Him! He is our peace!
