Evelyn was born in Laramie, Wyoming on February 20, 1934 to Betty and Henry Schroeder. She grew up with her younger sister Jan enjoying the great outdoors camping and skiing. Evelyn spent all of her childhood years in Laramie where she graduated from high school in 1952. She attended the University of Wyoming majoring in social work and was a member of the Tri Delta sorority in which she made lifelong friends. At UW, she met her future husband Wayne Weber and they married in Laramie in 1954 after his graduation from college. They moved to the Weber family wheat farm in Wheatland, Wyoming, and had four children together, Jay, Beth, Kyle and Joni. Evelyn’s career included working on the family farms in Wheatland for many years. She later was employed as an executive administrative assistant for a local bank in Wheatland and later at Farm Credit Services in Pasco, Washington. She was an honored employee of FC and was proud of her contribution to the business. After retiring she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a Master Gardener who loved growing beautiful roses and adored her dogs, Lily, Coco and Lucy. Evelyn was a beloved, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and daughter. She touched so many lives with her kind, caring, self-less character who put others before herself. She was a huge fan of Russell Wilson, was an avid member of the “12th Man” of the Seattle Seahawks and loved watching every game.
