WHEATLAND – Funeral services for Doris H. Thorne, 86, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at the Gorman Funeral Homes-Platte Chapel in Wheatland. Interment will be in the Wheatland Cemetery.
Doris Thorne died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs.
Doris was born Sept. 21, 1934, in Briggsdale, Colo., the daughter of Lester W. and Alberta “Katie” (Irene) Clark.  She was raised and educated in Colorado.  She graduated from Grover High School in 1948.  She attended and graduated from beauty school in Cheyenne.
She was married to Charles Frank Thorne Jr. in 1958 in Cheyenne.  She has resided in Wheatland since 1964, where she worked as the manager of Thorne Drug for many years.  She retired in 1997.
Her interests were quilting, tap dancing, attending Bible studies, Girl Scouts, riding horses and playing the piano.
She is survived by her children, Dr. Steven R. Thorne of Jackson, Tenn., David E. Thorne of Rock Springs, Terry L. (John) Pawleska of Green River, and Carolyn K. (Joseph) Costantino of Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren, Cory Pawleska, Troy Pawleska, Nicole Ulferts, Aaron Costantino, Gabriel Costantino, Sarah Costantino, Benjamin Costantino, Brianna Thorne, and Brandon Thorne; great-grandchildren, Jayden Pawleska, Jordyn Pawleska, Dakota Pawleska, Alexandra Pawleska, and Christopher Ulfert; and several nieces and
nephews.
Doris was preceded in death by her father, Lester, on June 20, 1973; mother, Katie, on Feb. 23, 1980; husband, Chuck, on Sept. 16, 2013; son, Calvin W. Thorne, on Oct. 28, 2014; brothers, Carroll Clark on Nov. 13, 1968, and Glenn Clark; and grandson, Christopher Thorne on June 8, 2008.
Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Costantino, Gabriel Costantino, Benjamin Costantino, Sarah Costantino, Troy Pawleska, and
Cory Ulferts.
A memorial to the Youth Home Inc., Attn;, David Throne, P.O. Box 2263, Rock Springs, Wyoming 82902 would be appreciated by the family.
