Dallas Richard Wade, 69, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at his home in Wheatland, Wyoming of natural causes.
Dallas Wade was born September 15, 1947 in Nebraska City, Nebraska the son of Marivin and Dorothy (Rauth) Wade.  He bantered back and forth with his two younger brothers Tim and Gary Wade.  He was raised in Weeping Water, Nebraska where he graduated in 1965.  He later attended the University of Nebraska where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering degree in 1970.  A year later he wed his lovely wife Gloria Jean Dietz in Mandan, North Dakota.
Over the next ten years he welcomed a son, Mark R. Wade and a daughter, Michelle L. Wade while working as a field service engineer for Babcock & Wilcox Company.
In 1976, Dallas started working for Basin Electric Power Cooperative as an Assistant Plant Manager (Leland Olds Station) and then moved to Wheatland, Wyoming in 1978.  From 1978 to 2007 Dallas worked as a Plant Manager of the Laramie River Station.  His passion and enthusiasm for his job made it seem as though it wasn’t work.  He proudly retired from Laramie River Station in 2007.
After retirement he continued to enjoy the little simple things in life, his loving wife, children, and grandchildren.  He spent his days traveling, golfing, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and tending to odds and ends around the house.
Anyone that knew Dallas knew he was a loyal, kind-hearted, determined, intellectual man who didn’t settle for anything but perfection.
This loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend leaves behind his wife, Gloria Wade; children, Mark Wade and Michelle Bennett; four grandchildren, Jamie Williams, Caden Wade, Reese Bennett, and Brady Bennett; two great grandchildren, Arianna and Rowley William; son-in-law, Greg Bennett, sister-in-law, Deetsy Wade; grandson-in-law, Rob Williams; and his dog, Bailey.
A memorial to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, Virginia 22202 would be appreciated by the family.
There will be no services for Dallas Wade at this time.
