WHEATLAND — Platte County Relay For Life needs volunteers to sell daffodils and coordinate the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days, an event that helps raise funds to fight cancer through the sale of daffodils in spring.
All event activities will take place during February and March. Individuals, businesses and employers are encouraged to place orders for daffodil distribution to family and friends, employees, customers and loved ones, or as gifts to hospitals, nursing homes or retirement communities.
Pre-order deadline is Feb. 12, and flowers are delivered around March 16. Dates could be subject to change due to weather concerns.
Bouquets of 10 buds each are available for an $8 donation; five bouquets for a $35 donation and 10 bouquets for a $60 donation. Order by calling a local Relayer: Vicki Johnston, 307-331-1336; Ellie Orr, 307-322-4500; or Ruth Herdt, 307-331-1286.
