Platte Valley Bank and First State Bank along with the City of Wheatland teamed up to provide an Easter egg extravaganza at the Wheatland High School football field April 3. According to organizer Cherish Keck from Platte Valley Bank, there over 5000 eggs placed on the football field that contained either toys or candy. The eggs were placed in sectioned-off areas according to age groups. There was also an opportunity to have pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.
