Christmas Parade lights up the streets of Glendo

Posted

GLENDO – The town of Glendo was packed out Dec. 5 for the annual Christmas Parade. According to residents, the 2019 parade only had three floats and the participation was down because it was held on the same day as Wheatland’s Christmas parade.
This year there were over 30 floats and cars in the parade which went down main street and culminated at the town Christmas tree. The annual Christmas tree lighting went forth and both Santa and Mrs. Santa handed out goody bags for all the children that were at the parade.
Temperatures were in the high 30s with minimum wind and people who traditionally watched from their cars actually lined the streets to watch the festivities.
