Funeral services for Charles E. “Chuck” Williams Sr., 82, were held on Wednesday, June 5 at Church of the Nazarene in Wheatland with Pastor Larry Benjamin officiating. Military honors were accorded by Laramie Peak VFW Post #3558 and Ora Call American Legion Post #10. Interment was held at the Wheatland Cemetery.
Chuck passed away at his home in Wheatland on Saturday, June 1.
He was born Saturday, April 21, 1937 in Wheatland, the son of Kenneth and Tessie Williams.
Chuck lived a life of service. He served in the United States Army for twenty-two years, was a firefighter for the Wheatland Volunteer Fire department for seventeen years, served as sheriff deputy, and was a lifetime Moose member. He also was an avid lover of flowers, an expert rose gardener, and loved antiques.
Chuck is survived by son, Chuck and family; daughter, Terri, family, and grandchildren; daughter, Donna and family; daughter, Denna, family, and grandchildren; son, Kenneth “Taz” and family; grandsons by deceased children, David Thompson and Glenn Atwood; and numerous other family members.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Glenda; sister, Alice; brother, Pokey; son, Raymond; daughter, Lonnie; son, Howard, and multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers were Andrew Klatt, Jerry Munger, Shalako Williams, Ervin Stofflet, Doug Taylor, Robert Munger, and Donny Munger. Honorary pallbearers were Nate Yeadon, Glenn Atwood, and David Thompson.
