HEALTH CARE

PLATTE COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

  1. The entrance to our hospital for all visitors and patients is restricted to one entry point.  During the day it is our main entrance and after 5:30pm it is our Emergency Department Entrance.  This is so we are able to screen for respiratory illness.  Our ED continues to provide care for trauma and emergency patients 24 hours a day. Anyone entering the ED is also screened.
  2. Visitor Restrictions:  At this time we are limiting visitors to one visitor per patient, per day.  We will not allow any children under the age of 13 to visit our facility in an effort to help in preventing the spread of illness. (There may be exceptions made for well children to visit a loved one who is end-of-life and/or for a sibling welcoming new family member in our Labor and Delivery department.)
  3. All teams members are up-to-date with the most current guidelines from the CDC and Wyoming Department of Health regarding COVID-19 and information is shared regularly as changes occur.
  4. Our team is trained in the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment, and how to obtain the proper specimens for COVID-19 testing.
  5. Our providers are up-to-date in treatment of all respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19.
  6. We are working closely with Banner supply chain to ensure we have all needed supplies to care for our community.  At this time we have all needed equipment to care for patients appropriately in our setting.

If you suspect you or a loved one may have respiratory illness, including COVID-19.

  1. Please call ahead to the clinic and/or hospital prior to your appointment so our staff can be prepared for your arrival and meet you with a mask to reduce the community spread of any respiratory illness.
  2. Please help us by adhering to the visitor restrictions noted above.
  3. Please communicate with us if you have any concerns.
  4. For additional information about COVID-19, please call “211” choose any option and an operator will assist you with getting the information you need.

1. Starting Monday, all staff and visitors to our locations will be screened for fever and other symptoms of COVID-19. If those screens are positive we will help you to access appropriate medical care.
2. We will begin offering wide spread telehealth appointments. If you would prefer a telehealth appointment to coming into one of our offices you can call and one of our case managers will help you in access to this care from your home.
3. Many of our staff will begin working from home. If you come into the office, your provider may be providing their services via telehealth.
