A funeral service for A. Duane Huffaker, 83, will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30  at the Memorial Baptist Church in Wheatland with Pastor Chris Furl officiating. He has chosen to be cremated. Inurnment will be at the Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland.  The funeral will be lived streamed for those unable to attend at https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/1933227
Duane Huffaker went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Jan. 20 in Wheatland.
Duane was born on Tuesday, May 18, 1937, in Alamosa, Colo., the son of Arthur A. and Glenna M. Huffaker. He married Ines Valentine in Pueblo, Colo. Duane had two step children while married to Ines that he cared for, Randall (Rhonda) Taylor of Fairplay, Colo. and Reyna Martin of Gabbs, Nev. Duane and Ines later had a son together, Kevin (Andrea) Huffaker of Scottsbluff, Neb. After having Kevin, Duane and Ines moved to Cheyenne  in 1968. They divorced and Duane later met his bride, Judy Rivers. Judy and Duane were married Sept. 9, 1979, at the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church in Cheyenne. In 1988, Duane and Judy moved to Wheatland, where they found their forever home. Duane was a meat cutter at Safeway for 43 years. He retired in 1999 at the age of 62. Duane served as a Deacon at First Baptist Church in Cheyenne, and continued to be a Deacon at Memorial Baptist Church in Wheatland.
Duane is survived by his wife, Judy Huffaker of Wheatland; son, Kevin (Andrea) Huffaker of Scottsbluff; grandchildren, Ryan Massie, Ashliegh (Josh) Pickrell, Zachary Huffaker, Louis (Holly) Tout, April (Andrew) Koeppel, Shana (Jearmey) Chiaratti, and Jeri (John) Tout; 19 great grandchildren; nieces, Tami (Roy) Moretz and Cindy (Steve) Lyon; and nephew, Ronald Huffaker.
Duane is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Glenna Huffaker; sister, Loella Prestel; and nephew, Tim Yovanovich.
Duane was loved dearly by his wife Judy, his family, and all those he encountered. He will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial fund to the Memorial Baptist Church Benevolence Fund would be appreciated by the family.
